'63 Dart wagon. It has typical quarter panel rust from the top of the wheel opening to the low part of the area behind the wheel opening. My panel-building experience isn't quite up to the level of what's required. I've attempted to form a patch from 2-3 parts but not having any luck. Don't have an english wheel to help smooth out hammer dents and have never used one. Of course, I haven't been able to find a salvage Dart or Valiant wagon.

I'm wondering if anyone has another idea for a solution. I've considered using sedan rear patch panels and make it look like a sedan quarter. Seems kinda odd, but fitting those panels would be something I can handle. I'll be doing some photo comparisons to see how this idea would look proportionally.

Don't have a clue why itallics started.

Hoping for some ideas before i take the car to a hotrod shop. Expensive for sure.

Shrinker/stretcher and english wheel?
I do not have the english wheel and I also struggle with the shrinker/stretcher. I could eventually construct the lip portion but I have used up a lot of sheet metal and possibly over heated the shrinker/stretcher--well, that is an exaggeration I know. My patience gets tired so I help it out with Captain Morgan which isn't any help.
 
I can say that although the hardtop lower quarter panel is not as long as the wagon’s, with some work they can be a replacement should you need lower quarter panels. I used Layson’s hardtop repair panels in my 65.

Desert Valley Auto parts had a 66 Dart wagon a few years back. I bought a grille from them. Might be worth a phone call. You could start a wanted thread just in case a member here has a parts car.
 
I used 65 Barracuda quarters to fix my wagon when I first got it back in the 1990's .I had them so I used them. Now 30 years later it's time to do it again and I'm doing the same thing because they are way easier to find.I cut them down and keep the very rear tail light area from the original wagon quarters.This approach worked great for me because my car is a driver not a museum piece .This is what I started with and how I did it

What about using a front fender arch cut out from a used fender?

Nice. I almost did this on my dart wagon just for the low wheel arches, but they were in good shape except for behind the left tire. Couldn't justify doing a full 1/4's on both sides just for a cosmetic change.
