I cannot answer that . I have never tried it or measured any gain. I suppose I don't know is my final answer, I do have a 340 on the stand and I am planning on installing the pistons with the notches forward "by the book" so I guess I'm not a true believer. I am waiting for Holdener's verdict and I am not anticipating any real perceivable gain for the record. Of course I could be wrong, it really comes down to "you do what you want to your engine, ill do my thing to mine...":)
