Cam recommendation
What heads are you going to use?
Everyone's amount of rump they can live with is different.. but a good 240-250ish @.050 cam I would think get you the power band you want. There is a lot more to it than just duration though. Might not hurt to get an opinion of a good cam grinder.
My mag block 408 pulls pretty well from 3500-7000. Even at the higher altitude that I live at.

950cfm qft brawler
Super victor intake (Victor 340 would probably be a better choice)
1 7/8 headers. The headers made a huge difference, I had 1 5/8 originally and it gained a good amount of power swapping.
