Truck's Gotta Bite !

What torque converter are you running?
A low stall factory one or a tight one might help with off the line traction...
i just "upgraded" LOL from a truck lock up converter to one that is about like a factory car TC. :D

Scale the front and rear separate and scale your Duster. Your truck is real light on the rear. You need more weight or some traction devices.
For sure. Weight distribution is favoring the headlights... LOL. I've made it my job to make this old long bed farm truck to do what the factory never intended... hook up and go fast !!!!

Farm truck. Check out the tires.

With 12-1300 HP tires like that are needed. lol
there is nothing about that truck's drive train that is dirt road built. I've watched video of it on the hoist. That is a high dollar drive train. Unlike ours, we shop for free parts or at least 40% off parts before we even think of opening our wallet. And it's being built right on our backs in the driveway out in the elements :D

Oh ^^^^^ I wish I could share with you all the emails from my utube channel and PM's that Drag Truck has inspired across the fruited plains of our great country! Folks building old Dodge trucks are excited and are starting to show it, and I couldn't be happier for them !!!

what do u expect from a $140,000 engine ?
 No doubt. We all know it isn't what it appears but my point was the tires. If you have a pickup that does nothing but spin tires you either need weight or suspension/tires to make it hook.

well.... weight, suspension, and tires pretty much covers every vehicle trying to not spin ... LOL :poke:

Being the uboob star that you are shouldn't you be telling us how to get bite with a truck...?..:poke:..
Well, it's kind of what the thread is about...... I really never asked for help, did I ???? :poke:

I took the day off from working on it.... My wife's birthday.... :)

you'll get traction with this...if you can keep the water in...make jello instead!
doesn't a bed full of jello make...oh,never mind!

jelly, jello, whatever to add some weight. and a cooler of whip cream when you need a scoop or two of the jello.

On a side note
My wife is the youngest of 4
Her oldest sister is 12 years older then her and so when me and the wife were dating her sister allready had kids

I think they were around 6 and 8 when we took em to the local chinese buffet and I taught them how to shoot jello at each other with straws

Took em almost a decade, but a few years ago we were at the same buffet and I caught them teaching my kids the same thing

Happy Birthday to your wife!
Did you buy some speed parts for her vehicle?
I told her she got Comp Eng traction bars, and that she'll like it !!! LOL
Actually, we sold her '77 RC, and now she wants something else in place of her 'stang

oh boy! One side is set up. The other side will set up fast now that I know exactly how. Will it work?? LOL.... we'll know soon enough. Not rocket science, in fact, very simple. I like simple and cheap (free)! If it works and is reliable, ya can't beat it !!!
