Whew! You actually meant "old people". For a moment I thought you might be targeting me (well, folks my age). Based on that post, I'm still young (54).
 
I do all those things and know of those events at 50. Maybe there is hope.

Maybe the youth will see these things and realize its the way to being a good steward of the life they have been gifted.
 
^^^^^I was raised by older parents that were very young adults in the Great (the real one) Depression. They were old when I was born. Old enough to have been my grand parents. They saw and Dad fought in two wars, one really big one. The Greatest Generation.
So I am old enough 73. My wife was raised by grandparents that went thru the great Depression. We are conservative, born and bred in us. Frugal. (spelling?) (Got it?)
I was raised in the Deep South were you were taught to have manners, find a belief in something greater than Man, take your hat off at the table, open the door for someone, say yes sir an yes ma'am, say what you think and believe in what you have the right.
I can't still her my mother say "Just don't piss me off!" Please.
