I recently got a Bradbury Series 40, 4 post lift from the 80s. It was in a pile in a barn and had a broken cable. I tried to find cables online with no luck and ended up have a local rigging shop make new ones. When I got the cables and started to set it up and some pulleys were missing. I couldn't find the pulleys and had to buy pulleys for a different brand of lift and had to bore them and make new bushings for them. I got it set up and run it up and down a couple times and the ram quit. I took it apart and it needs new seals. I found one place in the U.S. ( ( SVI ) that lists parts, but they tell me they are out of stock and wont be getting more. The only other places I have been able to find them is in the U.K. It looks like they only ship to Europe when I try to order online. I emailed two places 2-3 weeks ago to see if they would ship to the U.S. and haven't got a reply. Anyone know where to find Bradbury lift parts.

Maybe a local hydraulic shop could match up the individual seals and back up rings. A lot of rams use standard sized o rings and such.

I have thought of that but the closest shop is a couple hours away and open Mon-Fri 8:00-5:00. And I work 7:00-6:00 six days a week. It's a 40 year old lift and I'm sure this isn't the last part I will need for it. Everything takes so long when you have to figure out how to make it work. I've had it for 3 months and haven't had a car on it yet. It would be so much easier to someone and order parts.

Search Google...there are at least 10 different sources for parts listed...

Every place I found in the U.S. that listed it didn't have it in stock and they were not getting more. I found several places in Europe that had it but wouldn't ship to the United States. I went to ebays UK site and found it and after messaging about a half dozen sellers finally got some one to ship it.

I have a 40+ year old Weaver two post in my shop. I am fortunate to have the original selling dealer 100 miles south to get parts. Weaver was sold during the 80's but parts are still available...many of them standard fare bearings and such that can be matched up at any local industrial supply house.

Good luck...

Yup weaver sold out to rotary in 1989.
I have a 1986 weaver 9000 lb symmetrical lift.
When I bought it I had to dismantle it at the POs garage and re set it up here. It's built like a brick **** house. The rotary we have at work is supposedly a 10k capacity but is much lighter material. The base plates are huge on mine. It's a floor plate lift but that has never caused me a bit of an issue, some guys don't like this style. It doesn't have a cross bar up top.
When we put it up here I ordered seal kits and went thru the cylinders, kits were pretty cheap and very easy to rebuild. There is a company that makes new cylinders for it but they are crazy high, or they were when I looked into it some years ago.
One cylinder has taken to seeping again but not bad enough to worry about.certainly not as bad as it had been leaking for the PO.
When I re assembled it here my son happened to be the powder coating guy at a local factory. He was able to take my lift in and blast/ powder coat the whole thing, he did all but the cylinders, and the motor/pump. Did the uprights in something real close to "318 blue" and the arms in safety orange, which is not far from hemi orange.
We replaced all 14 chain guide bearings and 8 column rollers. And the bearings didn't come from a "lift parts company". I got the numbers off the bearings and it turns out they are a very popular bearing used all over industry, as well as being the input shaft bearing for a 4 speed ford top loader trans as well. I got all 14, and in name brand, non Chineseium, for $160 total. Would have been 5 times the price as "lift parts". There is 1 company that makes lift parts for many old brand of automotive lifts. I forget who but can find out. Though they have most common wear parts for the old lifts the azzholes do not sell direct. You must buy from authorized dealers/distributor which I have one near me.... But that makes the prices stupid high as well I hate companies that don't value the DIY'ers dollar. Which was why I went elsewhere to find what I wanted for my lift and didn't have to look far
