The 72 D100 Dog.....
I know it's not an A Body but thought it would be interesting.
I ran my ran my 72 D100 a few weeks ago in Mason Dixon MD.
Specs.
Stock bottom end 318
Double timing chain
Stock magnum head conversion
.441 summit cam w/268 duration
Generic aluminum mid rise air gap
570 CFM Brawler 4 barrel
TCI rattler damper
Stock mopar electronic ignition
Timing at 12 degrees initial
2000 RPM stahl converter
3.23 open differential
Granted, I'm a terrible racer and the open diff didn't help. However, ir ran a 14.92 on my third pass. Only had three runs.
With more gear and traction, sure I could knock off a decent amount of time.
Just thought I would share how my backyard beater did
Oh, I also changed the oil pump with the engine in the truck the day before the race, hahaha
