Can anyone give me the EXACT measurements of the OE O ring for the 904 transmission dipstick? I’ve tried 5 different sizes and not one has worked.

If I had the correct O ring I would use the stock dipstick. It must be some super duper, top secret, ultra special size because I can’t find one here locally.

Cool. What’s the ID or does it matter? I have 4 different O rings out there and not one of them fits. They either are too small and leak expensive transmission fluid all over the headers or 5 good men and a boy couldn’t shove the tube in the hole.

If I can get the correct O ring I’ll use the OE tube and shove that “Allstar Performance” tube right back up Summit’s behind.
 
(I had that same problem years ago when I met my wife.)


As you age it gets easier. The tube gets smaller and the hole gets bigger.

I don't suppose the newer "electronic" (AKA 46RE) would work? They are a sleeve, not an O ring

The thing is, if you got it good and dry and did it, it would work. LOL

On another note, do you remember when RTV first became popular? Blue was ALL you could get and you saw it oozing out from under everything. I've even seen it oozing out from between blocks and heads. LOL
 
I got an O ring on there and I used some CLEAR silicone (I always hated that blue crap) and I’ll know if it’s still leaking tomorrow. If it is, there will be a giant bon fire with the junk s#*t duster right in the middle of it. It will be a giant weenie roast with s’mores for dessert.
