I know it's not an A Body but thought it would be interesting.

I ran my ran my 72 D100 a few weeks ago in Mason Dixon MD.

Specs.

Stock bottom end 318
Double timing chain
Stock magnum head conversion
.441 summit cam w/268 duration
Generic aluminum mid rise air gap
570 CFM Brawler 4 barrel
TCI rattler damper
Stock mopar electronic ignition
Timing at 12 degrees initial
2000 RPM stahl converter
3.23 open differential

Granted, I'm a terrible racer and the open diff didn't help. However, ir ran a 14.92 on my third pass. Only had three runs.

With more gear and traction, sure I could knock off a decent amount of time.

Just thought I would share how my backyard beater did

Oh, I also changed the oil pump with the engine in the truck the day before the race, hahaha

That's a beautiful truck, it looks like a fun ride for sure!
The times are pretty impressive for what it is IMHO.
I have a few questions:

What is the weight of the truck?
What RPM did you shift at?
What was the MPH that you were getting through the traps?

I bet with more gear (say 4:10s) and a sure grip with say about a 3,000 stall converter you could easily drop half a second or more off of your E.T. and maybe a full second with some driving experience and tuning.........

BTW, the truck is about as aerodynamic as a brick as well as light on the back end, so traction might be a big issue as you hop it up more, but enjoy!

Yep, definitely a brick

It is a complete magnum swap hydraulic setup so my .441 cam end up with around .477 since mags have a stock 1.6 ratio rocker.

Truck is power drum all the way around with an 8-3/4 so I'm not sure what it weighs empty. I would think pretty light being a short bed 2wd.

I believe I was only 93 through the traps but looking for my complete time slip.

I have a 3.90 ratchet locker setup but the 8-3/4 but planned on driving up to Carlisle next month so I was lazy and didn't want to swap back and forth, haha.

Great looking truck. You could allways put a 518 transmission in it. Then you can keep the 3.90 gears.

Single or double springs?

So single springs. What RPM you taken it to?

A few progressive pictures, I scraped the carbon off the pistons and let the big girl eat .

My wife and 6 year old actually helped me build and set the engine. It's definently a Mopar Family race truck.

Love it when you get the kids involved early. This is my grandson helping replace the 3 cylinder Yanmar diesel in his excavator. He twisted it a little to hard lol
