6 cylinder removal question

Supposedly, you attach to the front bolt to lift the engine alone (with manifolds) and the rear bolt to lift engine w/ transmission, for proper balance. But might be apocryphal since seems scary to rely on just 1 bolt, even though the safety factor is likely 10x. Also, people have found photos of a factory/dealer lifting plate which attaches to both bolt holes and has several large holes to connect a coupling.
