A Friend?
Considering there not made anymore, there selling for a grand. When there made again, who knows? Think long and hard on this one.

i remember seeing when a member here posted on he had found for sale in the 400 range (complete, carbs air filter, tins)
he said he was gonna pick it up, i wholly expected him to wake up in a tub of ice with his kidneys missing...but he got it

so, there is that deal of a life time, and then, there are these

this one might be the most telling

the same guy listed it for 650 a while earlier and it didnt sell, so he relisted it for 500

of course, that was back in 2017

but look at all these, compare to what you have, and you should be able to figure out fair market value

By the time your done. Your in the $2200 range. Mine as a reference photo only. NOT FOR SALE.

does he need an original intake or maybe steer him toward a Mod Man intake?( if they are still making them)

Some of the for sale ads are a bit (sarcasm!) old and do not reflect current pricing of the NIB intakes that are available or the fact there not made anymore except your first listing where the asking price is $850.

The Edelbrock & the MP are exactly the same in every way with exception to what is on the surface of the intake.
The Mod Man is a extremely short runner (extreme high rpm design) with a changeable flat plate on top. Not recommended unless racing full on out.

of course some are older, it goes to show how rarely one of these comes up for sale
that all factors into the equation

sure his buddy wants to buy his, and he can always get another one....right?

Perhaps… not taking note to the dates (or mentioning it for that matter) is misleading. IMO, you should have pointed that out. IDK?!?! CAN his friend actually get one?

The Mopar and Edelbrock are the same in design but the Edelbrock has a tendency to be a little more desirable and if it is original TA manifold then even more desirable yet. The original TA aftermarket manifold will have numbering on the top of the manifold near the thermostat original factory ones will have no numbers in that area. All manifolds perform the same. Depending on model and condition I would say anywhere from $500 to $800. But as said they are not available anymore so name your price.

Well I did mention one was from 2017...does that count?

Just the manifold in good shape with no stripped threads and not warped should bring $600-$1000.
Would I sell mine for that? No
Why? Because I'll never find another one as good as I have, that cheap to replace it.

So....I have this friend who has an original T/A intake removed from a car prior to 1980. Shown with 2 old carbs in photo. Almost perfect original condition.
He also has the original unrestored air cleaner. Rubber sealing ring is original, no cracks or chunks missing. Still has original tape at joint.

He also bought NOS carbs directly from Holley in 1980. Center carb is manual trans and is complete with linkage, hoses, etc. Never had fuel in them.
He also has NOS fuel lines ordered from a dealer in 1980.
Because they are correct for a T/A or AAR he thinks they should go to someone restoring a real car and not end up on a 1967 Valiant.

He was thinking $4500 for everything delivered to Carlisle.
Is my friend being reasonable?

Really what your friend thinks that they should go on is of no consequence. The carbs are not original but reproductions so there is no extra value there. The original air cleaner assembly has some extra value but depends on overall condition. Bottom line is he's asking a over top dollar in my opinion. it's not a all original TA setup. but hey put it up for sale the market will tell you what it's worth in a couple of months.

I think your friend is not only unreasonable but I think he has MoPar Gold” fever. But I say what was said above, put it up for sale and see what FOOL comes stumbling around the corner with more money than brains.

.
It was $800 complete with a NOS system.
Kidneys are doing fine in original places.

Before removal from sellers car.

thats the one i was thinking
im glad it all worked out for you
did you get it installed on something or was it one of those "to good to pass up on and ill get a car to put it on later" type deals?
.
It's going on a 90, 360 roller motor with ported 308 heads, a 510 lift cam and 1.6 rockers.
As soon as I get my health problems straighten out.

Seems like the deal of a lifetime to me! I would love to see more pics.
