Stop in for a cup of coffee

For years and years I guarded for "incidental contact". Then FedOSHA and MSHA have this revelation that "some" people disregard the safety guards and reach into places they really shouldn't reach into, many times the guards becoming an additional hazard :BangHead:. A simple little guard for a 4"x30" roller becomes an 8'x 3' monstrosity so an arm can't get to a pinch point :BangHead:. I had a take off my glove to see if my fingers were still attached incident, completely surprised me and the machine operator. The ride to the ER with my boss driving was the really scarey part .
we've had a couple finger tip incidents since I've been there (just flesh from what I heard). Worst roller accidents I know at our site were years prior. Someone got 'sleeved' and someone got hair caught and it took a piece of scalp off.
