What's all inside a variable displacement Hemi! From the top. A chunk of foam to camouflage the noise, then screens and more screens and now a magnet to colect the metal mush. Finally lifters practaly laying on their sides with limited availability to any oil splash/ windage. I'll leave this for anyone to ponder the thought that any of this is a good engineering marvel!

The system definitely has its issues. But I’ve owned a Ram without MDS and got about 10 MPG. So I definitely helps. Especially the newer trucks with the 8 speed trans. I hate that they have these issues cause they are strong performing engines. Our trucks and cars are big and heavy and still run strong. GM has the same type issue with there DOD system. I wish they would spend the money on a better quality made lifter / roller bearing.
