Mark, My Aunts house on Conlin Road backed onto EP Taylors farm, I'm sure we used to see Northern Dancer, or that's what I was told.
I know that area very well. Northern Dancer is buried on the property. There are three building still standing. The birthing barn and the breeding barn plus the admin office that has been rebuilt. That land is owned by the City of Oshawa and a Historical site. I was talking to the original vet and he said it's common practice to destroy all DNA when the horse dies. He died I believe in Kentucky and the vet flew down and escorted the horse in the back of a transport. He said it was a miracle they didn't open the doors at the border. Northern Dancer is buried on the far left.
