Converter Slip - what´s good / bad?

Hi Guys,

just improved my combo so that it finally ran a 10.79 @ 124 mph. I noticed that the rpm at the finish line is pretty high, checked some online calculators and according to these converter slip is 10-11% (4.10 gears, 28" tire, 6800 rpm finish line rpm / 124 mph). Calculated rpms are approximately 6150.

I use a 8" Converter that stalls around 4800 rpm, is this slip percentage considered good, bad or mediocre? Originally i did not plan to rev this high (cast crank / hyper Piston SB Stroker).

Thanks for your input!

Michael
