If you don't tell anyone they won't know.
That is a bad answer, but Lakewood welded the trans studs to the bell.
If they didn't do that I could remove the lower cover.
The 2 slices are in a section that is sandwiched between an internal steel plate and the trans.
When the trans comes up tight you can't see the notches.
I don't see any strength removed from the bell.
Maybe in a 7 second twin turbo, I would worry.
11 Sec Slant Six, I should be ok.
