Haha difference between "reliable" daily and another project lol. Projects are not reliable, mine aren't at least :drama:

The scout? It runs good, guy has it listed down the street from me and supposed to be running with minimal rust for 7k.

The cuda.. its about 2hrs away and 13k.

We are loving Missouri. Its good people around where we live and there is a lot to do. We went out to Silver Dollar City with the kids yesterday.

When I say good people I mean, everyone is so stinking nice out here.

They learned you are a dentist and want free tooth care!!!!!

Don't be in a hurry to buy a DD, the right one will just show up, then move on it.
In January of this year an old guy traded an almost brand new 1500 ram in, it had 270 miles on it, for another ram that had a bigger back up camera.
I am good friends with the sales lady, scored that one fast.
Basically traded my 2019 Tacoma with 20K miles for a almost new 2019 ram even.
The ram is a far superior truck than the toyota.

Yea I'm in no rush. I just don't know how long I want to daily drive the dart, heck the money I spend in gas per month will probably be the cost of a car payment lol.

The Rams are super nice, but also more expensive right now than the other brands...

Might I suggest licorice sticks for straws to suck up that yummy mountain dew...

That sounds disgusting. But I will say, there are a lot of people in Missouri who need a lot of dental work... which is good for me and my mopar addiction that I've gotten after acquiring the dart and getting on FABO...

Hey Doc, I just realized this... scroll down to the bottom of the page and you'll see "Other Sites to Visit", notice "Pickup Truck Forum", there's a classified section...

The Doc said he needs a daily driver, also mentioned he'd like a truck, might as well keep it MoPar and kill 2 birds with 1 stone...

Drove it to work on Thursday! It was a blast, caught some of the office staff off guard when I pulled in and out of the parking lot.

The drive was beautiful. It needs ac... I've been looking for another engine for this car.... I gotta build a stroker still.

I havent found a truck, but I've also stopped looking I might wait a bit and see if prices start to stabilize or maybe even come down.

I went to a small auto shop today, it's 1 guy with a shop in the back of his house in thebolder part of Republic.. Ron's Auto is the name of it.. Walk in the shop and old rs Cameron (68-9), convertible 56 thunderbird, old 50s chevy truck etc. Said his son in law is building a 68 barracuda right now and he is looking for a complete 340 engine for it.

I'm going to take my car by next week, on Wednesday him and his car buddies all get together at his garage and hang out. He also said he could tune my carb for me. He was telling me there aren't many mopars around but he has a couple friends with some and they would love to see my car next week.

Anyways here are some pictures of my drive home from work.

Mopar spotted in the wild!!!!
Look up Mo Kan Dragstrip on the puter. They have a HotRod reunion deal sometime, besides their Spring all Mopar event. Good place to make contacts. About 20-30 mi N of Joplin.

Doc, serious about a dd? I hate to say it, but the chevy pickups are probably the best way to go.
From my view as a mechanic and comparing jobs between the big 3.
Oil changes, dodge oil filter is above front diff, and spills oil everywhere when you fumble with it. Ford? Above diff also, long arm and proper tool required.
Chev? Bottom of engine, mount is cast into oil pan.

spark plugs? Chevy wins, hands down. Cheap plugs and you can see them. All.

Exhaust manifolds? Bolts and studs break on all 3, gms are easier to get at.
Intake manifolds are by far way easier to get out on the gm engines too.

to each his own but i wouldnt think twice about buying a chevy over a dodge or a ford.
They get decent fuel mileage too.

^^^^ And IF you do buy the Chevy pickup, you can always put that big MOPAR sticker on the side of the bed. Thats what that do there where you are now, ya know!!!!! LOL
Check out the Rt. 66 deal that will be coming up in think in Aug and the big general swap at the fairgrounds in Aug also.
You just missed a pretty decent Mopar event in East St Louis.
