Any one has dealt with this business in El Paso Tx???

I have. I ordered on Jan 29th. Today they actually answered their phone! Doesnt mean Im not out $315, but I am staying positive that they will come through. Ill keep you updated.

I wonder if that is Ultimate Rides under a different business name?

I've had good luck with Ultimate Rides dash pads. You just have to specify that you want one with a metal core that has been redone, and not one with a new plastic core/frame. Those will twist and warp to hell and back.

Anyone having trouble with this company? Im wondering if anyone has recieved a dash pad and what was your wait time?

Ordered one from the Indy show on March 5th. They are horrible at answering the phone, I call and it goes to VM. I have learned that when it does, hang up and call back immediately; after 3-4 tries they always pick up.
Anyway, I talked to them last week and supposedly my dash is shipping today!!! 21 weeks after the 2 week estimate when I ordered.

get a tracking number and also an email saying that it is in transit or a promised delivery date. Your CC company can dispute the charge with stuff in writing vs after 90 days you might be SOL. Just saying....I have been waiting since Jan 29th.

Don’t do it, your lucky if you get one. Allen Fox just keeps changing the name.

The only way I'd do business with him is at a show where I could pay and get at the same time (even then I'd avoid this crook).

Ya, multiple unanswered emails. Multiple promises of item being shipped or going to recieve tracking information. Since its past the 90 days i can't dispute the charge. Since i don't have eta in writing i can't dispute the charge. Can't get them in the phone except twice when getting lies of dash being made/shipped, or excuses that covid has made it hard to recieve material (which i actually believe). I feel like i have no recourse. Fly to Texas and pay them a visit? Spend more cash on a lawyer? Complete lame business.

$0.02

That’s really too bad that most businesses take ur money with a promise to deliver by a certain time then can’t. But I’m sure they may have to pay up front a certain amount to their supplier also. But if they told u it will be atleast 2-6 months u probably wouldn’t order from them. Kim

Took me by surprise really, i stayed respectful until today, and i really didn't unload on them... not my style, but i did include 'Whiskey tango foxtrot ' as the subject....meh.... over it... sort of...

I got one from them but like 2 years ago. It was a nice well made pad. Took a while to get it but they came thru.

IIRC... If there is no defined shipping date, the merchant needs to ship within 30 days of a telephone or mail order. If the merchant can't or doesn't meet the 30 days, they need to notify you of the new delivery date and you can accept or deny getting a refund. This is FTC mail/telephone order merchandise rules.

If they have violated the rules, hold your credit card company, feet to the fire, getting the charge reversed. Possibly filing a FTC complaint or consumer protection filing.

There are also rules about charging your card prior to shipment. Does your card require that? Another avenue to investigate.

Since it was extenuating circumstances from covid, i was slow to give a hoot that out was taking time, which put me out of range for dispute, according to Chase(CC). They also said that having something, even an email, of some type of promise from DPF would help.

Up to you what you do, the bank isn't your friend either here. Move on to another avenue if you want resolution.

Need some advice......
I contacted my credit card company on Aug 5hth in a second attempt to dispute the Jan 29th 2021 purchase of a dash pad from 'The Dashpad Factory' and whattya know? ....TDF issues a UPS ticket THE SAME DAY giving me the impression that it (my dash pad) is being sent. The next day a tracking number is generated.....still not holding my breath after all it has been 6.5 months. I check periodically and the tracking number says 'out for delivery'. Today I get an email saying that they have received a dispute and are going to re route package. (Keep in mind this is the FIRST email I have received after MULTIPLE unanswered emails concerning this dash pad) I check with my CC company and indeed I have received a $315 credit. I feel that its still a scam. Nothing but an empty box or a remnant dash from a ford or something that will continue to waste my time. So, here is my correspondence......Whattaya think?

"""email to 'the dashpadfactory''''
I had not received any product. I did dispute the charge after multipIe attempts to contact your company concerning my 1967 dashpad to no avail. I tried to call back a few minutes ago, again....no answer. Printing out a UPS ticket and saying that the product is on its way after 6 1/2 months does not give me the confidence that anything was actually shipped. I have put entirely too much time and effort into trying to aquire a product that you advertise as quality. Your company has not been proven to be reliable. Although the reasons of materials being tough to obtain to produce said product are understandable, your correspondence is appalling at best. Ill wait for product and make sure you have your money. If you think re routing is a good decision, then please let me know.

Thank you for the communication,

David

Yeah, I've used him. It's been almost almost 20 years. I think he uses 2 or 3 names or maybe the business has changed that many times. Good work. Pain to deal with. I guess nothing has changed.

I still haven't sent the email. I may just see if it shows. I have a couple i could try to refurbish, but it would nit have the soft foam. I would just scuff, fill the dingers and re cover. Might have to do. Or order somewhere else. Odd how they don't try to communicate unless under the possibility of not getting paid.

To the dash folks

As I have received zero correspondence from your company and you haven’t responded to any of my emails nor the 110 phones call attempts that I have made in the past 24 hrs, you are leaving me no choice but to contact my credit card company to file a complaint against your company.
All I am asking for is a ship date that was supposed to take place 2 full weeks ago after a 6 month manufacturing delay.
I am disgusted by the way your companies conduct business and place the burden on your customers. Rest assured, I will be communicating my experience with anyone I can at the multiple shows and forums that I frequent as well as in front of your both next March in Indianapolis.
If you actually read this, sincerely

Got an immediate call stating that they were “redirecting” my shipment and refunding my money and sending my core back. If they had to redirect, why not just give me the shipping number.
And how are they going to send “my” core back if it was already done?
My guess is it’s all a damn lie!! I hope I see them in Indy next year.
