Best weapon for Concealed Carry advise

People talk (argue) a lot about caliber. Thing is when it comes to concealed carry you want the one that you will actually want to carry regardless of caliber. A .22 in your hand is worth a hell of a lot more than the .45 that's at home. Second thing is that even though a big or powerful (read .357 mag, etc.) caliber might do more initial damage, a big caliber in a small package makes for a LOT of kick. In that light what I feel is important is the ability to do accurate follow up shots. A gun that kicks hard is harder to get back on target for follow up shots. The most effective bullet is a second or third one!
