I went rogue...

bug windup key.png Geez you guys are killing me... flower stickers...peace sign... might as well buy one of those windup keys for the engine cover!!!

This thing is gonna be a cheap driver. No money for those Subaru's with blocks that are made of cheese (according to the guys who fix them!).

Fixing the floor pans, get it running, four non flat tires and I'm driving it.

Back in '62 we had a neighborhood kid who's Dad owned a machine shop behind their house. He built it just before WWII to supply parts to the war effort. They owned the only welder or oxy/acetylene setup for a mile around.

The kid bought a split window Bug, pulled the engine, fabricated an engine cradle in the rear and installed a 331" Caddy engine with a Hydramatic... behind the seats. Used a narrowed Pontiac axle. With a 560-15 tire he could make a four inch wide burn out patch four blocks long...

His next build was a mini-bike with a Harley 74" motor.... we hauled it in the trunk of an Impala and set it loose on the first section of interstate in Milwaukee.... hit 90 mph hour in 2nd gear when he ran out of balls.
