These heads were on a 360 magnum I have. It's has the melt away plug insert on head. I assume these were replacement heads and had those melt away for warranty purposes. Meaning if they melt they can say it over heated and not cover it. It was suppose to be a replacement engine I believe not just heads. Question I wondering is these heads any better to the cracking issues or no..obviously I would need to have them checked. Can you visually see the cracks sometimes between the seats.

Mopar puts the heat tabs on all of the remanufactured heads. White/gray color is OK... Pink means it got hot... Red means it was overheated. They look very clean inside. I think you have a good set of heads there.

Yeah just wondering if I should use on a build. Didn't know if these were prone to cracks just the same ...

Those are factory assembly line Chrysler heads. The quality is exactly the same. Check the valve seats and valves. If the valve seats in the head are not badly eroded or sunken, you can run them as is, even if you find signs of cracking between the valves.
If you plan to have a valve job done anyway, just have them crack checked first.

Not sure of build yet would like 375 not sure if stock heads can do it..

These are also the same heads used on the old Magnum based Mopar 380 horsepower crate motor. Just depends what the condition is.

Dropping off tomorrow if good I'm gonna use them. Figure a good cam from Hughes, 4bbl carb, air gap intake..should make 375 to 400 hp with 400lb torque..fun car for sure
