Mopar A Body AJE tube K Member and coil over suspension
I am asking 2K OBO. With serious consideration on the OBO LOL
I need to buy some parts from HemiDenny to get my car on the ground.
I bought a AJE suspension kit for my Barracuda I am building to remove the old torsion bar suspension in favor of an suspension system utilizing a Mustang 2 steering rack and coil overs. I have changed directions in the build of my car from a 1/4 mile car to a touring car and will be selling this kit while I buy another kit more in line with my intended use.
There were some design flaws with the lower control arms which came with the kit. Flaws which included the same Heim Joints as the upper, so I had custom lower control arms built with larger Heim's and the Mopar Performance M logo cut in. I had a Jeep Fabricator build the new lower control arms. These lower control arms cost me 3/4 of my asking price. And I have well over $5k in all the parts.
This kit comes with Coil Over shocks. In one of my pictures you will see 1 bushing missing. I was getting ready to replace the rubber with poly. If it matters, I will purchase the poly replacement to show that they are correct.
I was getting ready to weld in the lower shock tabs on the lower control arms this spring when I made the decision to change where I am now removing the system. As you can see, the powder coating was removed from the lower control arm in prep for welding. Also notice the tabs which have a aluminum JIG between them to set the spacing correct for the lower shocks to ensure correct fitment after install. Those jigs were built using my metal lathe.
Lower Ball Joints are Moog Mustang 2.
Upper Control Arm ball Joints are mopar.
The steering rack is a Mustang 2 High ratio power steering rack.
The Tubular K Member sits lower than stock by roughly 1 inch to allow larger oil pans to fit. There are no motor mounts at this time has I had plan for that which would allow this system to fit different engines with out changing the K Member. The first engine I was going to install (Jeep 4.0L) was only to be a temp engine till I could build a australian Chrysler 265 inline 6 hemi (Yes, that does exist)
The suspension system is meant to be used for large bolt pattern A body rotors with the large single piston calipers normally found in 72 to 76 A-Body mopars. Will need knuckles to complete the kit.
I am $2K OBO, and will consider reasonable offers.
