Early A switch question
The headlight switch is 3 or 4 different circuits all in one spot.
The headlights are their own circuit... B+ in at 'B1', and out to the dimmer switch at 'H'
Power for everything else comes from the brake light switch at 'B2'... taillight power goes out at 'R', and front running light power goes out at 'P'.
Power is only supplied to 'P' when the switch is pulled out to the first detent. Prior to 1967 or 1968, most cars (that I know of anyway) were wired this way -- no park lights when the headlights were on. In '67 or '68, federal law mandated that the running lights at all 4 corners light up with the headlights. The manufacturers (GM and Mopar for sure, they use the same switch, don't know about Ford) moved the front light wire to 'R' terminal and kept the same switch.
