74 power wagon dream truck...
Good gravy, then I got to learn body work first.. the painting isn't what I'm really scared of.. (actually nothing scares me but..) I guess there's so much to do I'd like to farm a couple things out...
I hear you, I had my buddy shoot my Duster, because I needed my garage space to fix my sons car, which involved a new hood, fender, door and body work on the rear door. Not his fault, the car got hit-n-run while parked in front of our house.
I never bothered to turn it in on insurance I just fixed the old car. I knew if I turned it in, it would be totaled, but I had every part to fix it but the new hood.
Got the kids car back together in a week or so, and painted it.
Worked with my son, showing him how to do the body repairs, which he did great.
When it came down to painting the car, he looked at me and said, I am leaving that part up to you.
I painted cars professionally for about 20 years, so blending the side of a daily driver is no big deal.
