The top link moves in a fairly straight line. I don't think the length effects the ratios as long as the top bellcrank starts in the correct spot.
Here's ome different throttle pressure levers (the ones on the transmission)
The shorter ones are for the 904 or visa versa.
Some of the linkage is the same for all the v-8s.
This is a 318/904 set being sold on e-bay that I put the part numbers onto for reference.
No idea where this photo came from. Think it was a vender display at carlilse or nats that was on the interweb
