Yeah, it is 1200 bucks or more for a good roller cam. I don’t use OE lifters on an aftermarket cam. Again, if like the OP you think it’s cool to keep building stuff like you had to do in high school I say fine. I prefer to keep up with technology and move forward. I don’t run stud rockers so a magnum head is never something I use in any build. So more fantasy land builds. How about you build this elusive 3k 318 world beater and let’s get it on a dyno and see what it really does.

You cheap skate! Go put your little small block stroker on the dyno then compare that to even a aluminum 528 hemi. You don't have to keep acting like your are still in high school. $3000 is all it takes to build a solid 318 factory lifters last hundreds of thousand miles. Not sure how long your fancy high dollar lifters last? Got a 100,000 miles on them yet? The factory stuff just keeps going.
