Well Chrysler started building the next years cars the following year, usually in August, so an August to December built car would have that year's date on it. Show a picture of the drivers side stamping just above the trans pan rail and a few of us can decode it...
Because it’s a 68 code wouldn’t the code be located on top of the bellhousing mount area? The oil pan rail number is non existent?? Reason for asking since I haven’t located the number other than the one at the front of the engine. I just read about the other possible location so I will check the bellhousing area when I get home today.
