Electric guitar...

I started playing around 1998. Never got really interested in it until I broke down and bought a real Gibson les paul. Trying to learn on cheap guitars is frustrating. I was amazed at how much better I got in a very short time after getting the Gibson. I now have 5 Gibson LP's and three marshall amps.
If you stick with it and are still interested in 6 months, I would recommend investing in a nice instrument. Find something US made if you can afford it.
