This is my hypothesis, car had been driving fine. Took it to automated car wash, noticed the drag mechanism looked very low but thought to myself attendant will tell me if I am to low. Drove up on it and near as I can figure weight of car rested on front brake caliper. Very short drive home. Driving to work next morning I hear a thump thump so I apply brakes to investigate. Front wheel locks up and car dives. I throw it in reverse to unlock wheel crawl underneath and all looks good? I continue on to work using tranny for braking (6speed manual). Once I get in parking lot I use brakes and wheel locks up hard. And tire is now flat. Upon inspection the bolt holding caliper sheared and dropped caliper into rim, twisted caliper bracket and left rub pattern around inside of rim and a ding and crack. I will post a pix tonight. It is aluminum so I will just weld it up. The destroyed bracket is 8 weeks out from Wilwood so I just straightened out said bracket. I will run it that way until I get the new one. A bad day all in all.
