Rosary rebuild.

When I bought the van it had an old Rosary in it. It was the only piece of the previous owners trash I kept in the van.

The other day i was driving along and the sun visor swung down and ripped the Rosary off its home, breaking the string.

I tossed the broken parts in the cup holder and continued on. Last night I layed awake thinking i should fix it. This morning li looked around for a suitable string to re tie it and could not find anything. I ran out of time as I wanted to get in early and work for a bit alone. Turns out beacuse I drove the van to work my shop keys wern't on the ring and I am locked out of my own shop... now I sitting in the parkimg lot looking at this broken Rosary and thinking, now would be a good time to fix this.

I remember that I went to Bass Pro and bought some new backing for my reels and that my fishing gear is in the back. I grab the spool of backing and dang if it aint just right.

Lets get to getin!

This is how I started.

First try at rebuilding. I got a ways in before I realised that all the knots were eating up more string than I had planed for..
By this point pops had showed up whit his key so I sat down at a table.

Take two.

This time i got it all done and realised i must have lost a bead because i dont have a cross to separate the last section...

Well if you gonna do a thing, may as well do it right..... so I cut it all back apart. This time I pulled one of the cross beads off the lower section where originally there were two and used one to separate the last beads. Turns out I must have lost two beads because the last section only has 9 beads in it.

I figure its the thought that counts right?

Now its all back in one piece and back in the van where it belongs.

Thank you for all the time and advice.
They may have died.
Maybe it shed it's confessions, who knows.
