Earlier in this thread it was mentioned the Chrome ECU should not be used on the street [ under 2000 rpm in the MP book ]. This unit uses a 0.25 ohm bal res, lower than the other boxes. I suspect the reason is that the coil current 'on' time is too long at low rpms; this coupled with the low resistance bal resistor could overheat the coil.
Was that me that said that? I don't remember. If it was, I meant to say the GOLD box, not the chrome one. The gold box isn't supposed to idle very long it's so damned hot. It was probably me. I'm always fuckin somethin up.
