Thoughts/opinions on Blueprint Engines 408 stroker crate engine?

Change of plans for me. I'm holding off on my engine order until things settle down with the world's supply chain.

It had been a couple months since leaving the deposit, no communication from them since July. I figured it was time to find out what was up. The most recent info I had meant that I would need to start rounding up supplies, borrowing a truck for picking up the engine hoist from my uncle, buying an engine stand, recruiting my buddies for help, etc and most importantly, finding a buyer for my current Magnum 300 before I pulled it from the car.....since five weeks from now (November per the estimate at the time of order placement), I would need be ready to go for the swap.

Well, I'm glad I called. I was told that there is now a 120 day delay on camshafts. So barring any additional delays, assembly for the existing orders won't resume until late January, add labor lead time onto that. I got the message that I wasn't exactly close to the top of the list which means significantly longer delays.

Obviously, the delays aren't their fault and I don't blame them for it even if I don't feel great about how I found out.

Anyway, I have it on my calendar to give them a call back in January. I hope things are significantly more predictable by then.
