School me on Eddy's
Sorry if this is in the wrong thread.
I don't have much experience with old cars but I have always done my own maintenance on my vehicles. I have only ever dealt with Holley 4bbls but I recently got a screaming deal on a brand new Edelbrock 1906 (650 cfm AVS2) and I am really excited to drop it in my Mopar.
I have a 100% internally stock early 70s 360 with headers and and Edelbrock performer rpm intake hooked up to a 727 auto. What parts will I need to convert from my holley carb to this edelbrock? My intake has a quadrajet style opening instead of a square bore that seemed to seal fine under my holley but the edelbrock site specifically recommends I get the adapter plate #2732 to seal the carb to the intake. Is this necessary?
Ive also seen recommendations for a new fuel rail (PN 8126? / 8131?) but I am not sure which one I would need?
Last one, Which kickdown linkage adapter would I need? Ive seen a few different part #s online and prices seem to vary a bit but based on the pictures they all look the same?
Am I overlooking something or am I overthinking it?
My car is basically just a cruiser so at the end of the day I just want it to be dead reliable and hopefully for everything to work right the first time without major leaks or fires
