Over the weekend I fixed the Dart's charging system. Recently the ammeter was registering a slight drain with no movement as RPM's increased. I had rebuilt the alternator last October so I'm thinking its just worn out. I teed up a PowerMaster alternator on Summit but before pulling the trigger I opened the hood and began testing with my voltmeter and found the problem.
So how did I fix it? Simply plugged the green field wire back into the alternator. It had worked its way out and was hanging by a thread.
