Interesting.
05 gmc 3/4 ton van. Awd.
Power steering pump was leaking pretty bad. Two hoses seeping. Replaced them pretty easy. But steering wheel would shudder when you turned. Bleeding didnt help. I drained out the “power steering fluid”
And replaced it with atf. I always use atf, but lately all the installation sheets say use approved fluid. I approve the use of atf from now on.

so long story long, steering is fixed. Drove it to customers house. Wasnt home. Walked to his neighbour,a good friend. Not home. Continued walking. Texted wife to keep an eye open on drive home as i was walking.
A mile ish i think. Not bad.
