1965 MMP's Barracuda Hemi swap! The Ever Changing Build
So was working on the trans tunnel and a few other things this weekend. I'm almost finished with the tunnel WOHOO! I'm about 90% finished. The 454RFE has a freaking speed sensor that's unusually high on the rear of the case and need room for the sensor and harness connection So I still gotta button up that mess on the tunnel and I have to re-mount the console mounts for the shifter before I can paint and seem seal. I was working in the car this weekend as opposed to lying under it so I had to clean it up and move everything out so I could do some cutting, grinding, and welding. That was nice I was able to clean all the parts and check them out again. I started the firewall patch and bracing too and the f.b.w throttle pedal mount. I think? I have the placement figured out ??? its tough to tell with out the dash and a seat in the car I'm more going off the stock pedal location but that's tough cause it was a floor mount and this f.b.w. is a fire wall mount, so using a lot of guesstimation on this... I have the brake/pedal plates cut just need to drill and ad some hardware. I also built the steering column plate/ replacement patch. I'm going to hold off on drilling the hole for the steering shaft till I get the column back in have to rifle through my stuff to find the column harness and blinker stuff so I can put it back together now that its painted. I'll have the tunnel finished this week and then install the HDK front end for the last time hopefully. Install the brakes and get my shock length/ ride height figured out.
Pictures of a few things I did the weekend..
This Trans tunnel is huge and ugly but soo is the 454RFE in this picture you can see the rear drivers side of the tunnel is not finished, this is wear I have to massage the tunnel to "not look too hacked" but still fit the sensor..
