There is a proven positive difference in fuel distribution using a taller hat in boosted applications, and it’s significant. If you have the space, the taller the better so the air has a straight shot into the carb. Some people just weld a 2-4” spacer to the hat bottom. It’s worth a quick email to your carb builder with a picture of your setup/hat. Maybe it’s fine, but maybe it will cause lean cylinders and melted pistons.
Oh yea, I've seen multiple dynos showing the taller hats that allow basically a straight down even turn make more power.
I wanted to get a csu carb hat and then make a v band pipe and completely get rid of the rubber. But that will be later on. For now I can at least test and make sure it will all work.
