old guy needs fun modern-ish driver

I had a wife a couple decades ago..that had a sales job and put many miles on.. that drove one of the fancy Chryslers of that same vintage. It would have a ton of just highway miles, look like brand new, but luxury type cars with mileage aren't worth much. Cheap. It was always bought by a mechanic for his wife that wanted a new looking high end luxury car. The high mile did not scare the mechanic husband because he knew he could fix it!!
Used good cars right now are high due to the fact the dealers have NO cars to sell!
I like sport not luxury!
