Stop in for a cup of coffee

You don’t want to get me started on that topic. Yes teachers don’t get paid enough. Yet there’s a crap load of administration officials that make north of 150k a year and teach NO one. The excuse is they need the administrative staff to supervise the teachers. The ratio of administrative staff to teachers, 1:4 in my district, 1:3 in the district neighboring ours. Oh and that’s not counting an average of 2 secretaries per administration staff. And then that’s not counting principals and deans and counselors. The highschool in the district next to ours has 5 principals( a head principal, and then 1 per grade), 2 deans per grade, 3 counselors per grade and all of them have at least one secretary and none of them teach. This is why teachers are underpaid. 55 percent of Indiana’s yearly budget goes towards k-12 Ed. But the average teacher only makes like 36k. The average administrator makes north of 150k. It’s a racket and no one wants to actually look at the reason why.

Military the same. Commands that don't drive troops in the field are created as dumping grounds for senior officers.
