This can be a pretty big factor....... especially when it’s a std trans car.

I was watching some youtoob videos the other day. One was a track rental day at Cecil County.
One of the cars there was a 69 SuperBee with a 500” stroker, ported RPM heads, hyd roller, 6bbl, headers, 4 speed, drag radials.
There were several runs in the 14’s.
