Chrysler LA / NASCAR 355 cu. in. crank shaft

The early 8 bolt stuff was 1018 and when Scat got the MP contract everything was 4340. I’m not sure MP ever offered a crank in 5140 but I’m not sure on that.
I thought I read 5140. I could be wrong, IDK. Feeling lazy at the moment to get up and check….

But the crank is a forged 8 bolt unit.
It sucks I won’t get to it for a while. To much on the plate to worry about what I’m going to mess with next in the storage closet of parts.

Screw it, I’m getting up. It’s on the way to the coffee pot….
