That could be, it was 55-60 years ago so can’t remember all the details. But to this day that’s the only place I ever saw pay toilets. Remember thinking what kind of business would stoop that low to make money.
I remember those pay toilets in Eaton's downtown store too. That's when I learned to slide under the door, unless I was able to catch one as someone was leaving. Lol
Every member of my family worked at that store except me and my old man. Mom was a switchboard operator, my asshole brother was in the mail order department, my other brother worked in the meat department, and my sister was in the children's wear.
