Big Inch Small Block
I was at an Index race in Pa. Labor Day Weekend after being 008 and 012 on the pro tree ( figures ! ) second time shot I heard a vibration and lost oil pressure , not knowing what it was I just parked it, brought it home took it out and dropped the pan starting in the rear I started checking bearings they all looked good ( mains and rod ) until I got to the front and found the bad bearing then I saw the crack .. at least the bearing didn't weld itself to the crank or block it came right out. I knew something wasn't right when I could wiggle the balancer around. My " Mopar Mentor " says the vibration from the cracked crank is what took out the bearing.
