When I was a child in the early 60s, mom told me I saved my dad's life. After all of WW11 and Korea, and his returning to civilian life, she said his responsibility to me was what kept him going. Even as that young child, I knew he had serious issues. It did not have that name of PTSD or whatever its called.
God Bless the veteran and all they have suffered.
I think in the early days they called it "she'll shock"
