I used standard 40 series Flowmasters on a car and hated them. They were loud and had drone. However, I installed the Delta Flow 40 series Flowmasters and they are really great. I would assume the Thrush mufflers you have are a aggressive sound. D/D you can use a 8 inch wheel and just change the offset to like a 4 inch backspace and it will push the wheel out to the outer edge. It will be really close though. It could rub a little

I ordered a set of the Flowmaster DF mufflers
I can’t get anything over a 245 on the 8” Vision 4-1/2 backspace wheels I run because the tire bulge hits the spring. I have an 8-1/4 and it’s an inch narrower than an A-body 8-3/4. These 295/50s on a 10” wheel will give me the same spring clearance and will come 1/2” inside the wheel well. Will verify when the 10” wheels get here.
