Carburetor Recommendation

1966 Signet with a 1976 225. CARTER OR HOLLEY? I know that 1966 used Carter and 1976 used the Holley. 1bbl. Carter is installed now and needs to be replaced (leaking fuel around bowl) . Any advice concerning kick down and throttle linkage issues would be appreciated.
Note: car is new to me, history unknown.
