Summit small block cams

For those contemplating purchasing/wondering how the Summit Racing SUM-1789 cam measures at the various lifts this is what we’ve come up with today:

Cam is the same as the old Crane 272 Energizer.
Specs as Advertised:

272° Advertised
216° @ .050”
.454” lift (w/1.5 rocker ratio)
110 LSA

What we measured as best possible:

271° @ .004”
263° @ .006”
257° @ .008”
215° @ .050”
183° @ .100”
122° @ .200”
Lobe Lift .304”

Using a Comp Cams Magnum Roller timing set installed “dot to dot” yielded:

102° ICL
Cam card shows 105° ICL
If we were able to retard the cam exactly 3° all the @ .050” cam timing events would match up to the cam card.

Check things and adjust the centerline as desired and call it good:thumbsup:
