Let's See Your Mopars.. again
My first 1970 Dart: that was an Illinois car it’s whole life, it was an ordered car sold new at St. Charles Dodge in St. Charles IL to an old man, his wife and daughter. The story goes that the little girl talked her dad into getting the AM radio. 225/904 and tinted windshield were the only options. I purchased it at 53,000 miles and drove it to 88,000 and it ended up snapping all the rings on cylinder 1 and it was rusted out, 1970-2020. I parted it out and it helped save the next two cars, two more 1970 Darts.
The second car is a 1970 Dart Custom from Opp, Alabama that was picked up and parted out. It was left for dead when I purchased it for $150. Super loaded, this is a factory two-tone car, dark green and white, with A/C and P/S. It had major collision damage on the whole driver side and is waiting its turn for a restoration.
The third car is another 1970 Dart Custom from San Francisco, California. It was an ordered car from Butler-Conti Dodge. It is original and unrestored. It is a factory two tone car and is the same color as the Alabama car except for the light green roof. It is a California emissions car. It was found near Albany, Oregon and I flew out and drove it home 2200 to Chicago.
The fourth car is a 1972 Plymouth Valiant Decor Package that is yet another ordered car and is super highly optioned with a light package, A/C, P/S, decor package and vinyl top. It had a junk slant six in it and now it getting a new engine and various upgrades.
