This Never-Raced, Original LO23 Dodge Dart Is Going To Auction

This was what it looked like at some point in its race life from 1968 to 1977.

Most of these online “magazines” have little to no credibility.

The piss-poor story written by this

Found this doing a quick search.

The "Car of the Rising Sun" is a real LO23 car, and accounted for. In that photo, it is being driven by a good friend of mine who owned the car briefly in the early 1970's. I cannot recall the names of the brothers who originally owned the car, but it was built more for ISCA-type shows. They were from Central PA (York?). The car was never really a strong runner when my friend owned it. This car eventually ended up being the plain yellow car Lou Mancini built to drive on the street in the late 1970's/early 1980's. It sold a Barrett-Jackson a few years back for $300k, and I believe still resides in Vegas.

Lou Mancini, Tom Hoover, what's the difference?
