3 years in a depression

I've come across 2 houses this bad in 25 years of doing house calls for telecom. First one I was shocked. Called my boss and he told me hell no, make it good outside and tell the sub to throw a phone cord out the window and plug into NID (phone box has a jack). 2nd I was a little more sympathetic and told her Ill fix one jack that I can get to and just use that one. Even got her a cordless phone out of my stash so she could carry the phone to her chair facing the window. As a church project we (30 of us!) cleaned a front yard of a house like this so the city wouldnt finer her. 10 hours later and a haul away, we had her yard good enough to get the city off her back. She ended up becoming a member of our Lutheran church even though she was a Messianic Jew.
